Youform GitLab

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Youform meets
GitLab.

Create GitLab issues from form submissions to streamline project tracking. Use Youform as the starting point for a workflow in Zapier, then map your answers to an available GitLab action.

  1. Make a form for the information you need

Start from a Youform template or build your own. Include the fields your next step needs, such as a name, email address, or project brief.

  2. Choose your connection in Zapier

Connect Youform as your trigger and choose GitLab as the next app. Select an action supported by the connector and your account.

  3. Map your answers and test the workflow

Match your form fields to the action fields. Check a test result in GitLab, then activate the workflow when it behaves as expected.

GOOD THINGS YOU COULD SET IN MOTION

A few ideas
to get you started.

Choose an action available in your automation tool, then use these ideas to shape your workflow.

Bug tracking from external users

Let customers and beta testers report bugs through a user-friendly form instead of requiring GitLab access. Issues are created with full context for your dev team.

Project request intake

Accept new project requests from stakeholders via a form and auto-create GitLab issues with descriptions, labels, and due dates for your team to plan.

Security vulnerability reports

Create a responsible disclosure form for security researchers to report vulnerabilities, with each submission creating a confidential GitLab issue.

Change request management

Collect change requests from internal teams through a structured form and create GitLab issues for change management review and implementation.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you

Need a hand with your setup?

Talk to the Youform team
Is this a native Youform integration?
This connection uses Zapier between Youform and GitLab. You configure the action and field mapping in Zapier.
Which actions can I use?
Choose from the actions currently available for GitLab in Zapier. Your connected account and the fields required by that action determine what you can send.
How can I route form reports into GitLab issues?
Choose the intended project and map the title and description, then add supported labels and assignment fields. For a self-hosted instance, first check that your chosen connector supports its URL and authentication; GitLab.com access alone does not establish that.
Which plan do I need?
Youform offers unlimited forms and responses on its free plan, within fair usage guidelines. Check the current plans for your chosen features. Any connected app or automation service has its own pricing and usage limits.
