Choose what the customer is signing up for

A waitlist

Collect contact details and preferences when you want to learn who is interested or send a launch update. State that joining the list does not place an order or reserve stock. A signup is a signal to investigate, not proof that the person will buy.

An unpaid order request

Ask for the item, quantity, and delivery context when your team needs to check availability before accepting the order. Explain when the customer will receive confirmation and how payment will be arranged.

A paid preorder or deposit

Explain the product, amount being charged, expected fulfilment, and what happens after payment. If collecting a deposit, say what remains due and how it will be collected. Configure the Stripe Payment block with Youform Pro or Business; the form does not automatically manage stock, fulfilment, or a later balance payment.

Example: prepare a desk-lamp launch form

At the interest stage, ask for an email address, preferred lamp color, intended use, and the feature that matters most. Review whether the people joining match your intended buyers and what questions they still have about the product.

When you are ready to offer a preorder, replace the waitlist wording with a clear product description and purchase details. Ask only for the variant, quantity, contact, and delivery information you need. Make it clear whether the payment is a deposit or the full amount, and give a contact path for order questions.

  1. Write the brief for the AI draft. Name the product, audience, and whether you are collecting interest or an order. The draft is a starting point to review.
  2. Check the questions and choices. Remove sample claims, unsupported delivery dates, and options you cannot fulfil. Use signup counts only when they are accurate.
  3. Configure payments if needed. Connect Stripe, choose the amount and currency, and review any calculation rules. Map an email field if sending payment receipts.
  4. Define confirmation and follow-up. Decide who reviews requests, which record confirms payment, and when the customer hears from you. Check the published form before inviting buyers.

This is an example to adapt in your own form. Your product, inventory, fulfilment, and customer communication remain part of your business process.
